In fact, this shit is a slowrun if I ever saw one. The world record for all chapters combined in Resident Evil 6 is 6 hours and 13 minutes. I'm not talking about the continued emphasis on action, but instead the ability to actually speedrun the game. I then went on to watch a Resident Evil 6 speedrun, only to be surprised by the fact that in just the speedrun timer alone, the game can be seen as a huge departure from the other entries in the series. With Resident Evil 8age just around the corner and with the fuss about it all over the internet, this game is more than perfect to get ready for something a lot bigger.Alright, so I made a thread a few days ago about how surprising it is that Resident Evil 4 can be completed in 1 hour and 25 minutes, which is the world record speedrun. As a conclusion, this game offers you an experience you will not soon forget and it's a high chance you'll like it even if you're not into horror games. I shall not spoil it for you, but besides the very few "relieving faces" you'll encounter I can definitely say that all the antagonists are totally worth exploring! The dialogue is masterfully crafted which fits amazingly well in an environment rich in visuals (quite mesmerizing for a 2017 game), making me think of this gem as of an exquisite wine that aged greatly. And what a long night it was - but not just for me. The setting seems perfectly picked for such a story and the development of Ethan's character is greatly done throughout the median six hours playthrough in spite of his frequent silence, often broken with unforgettable quotes: "They say that when one door closes, another opens. It has everything you'll ever need from a triple A video game: beautiful visuals, instant action, thrilling moments, jump scares, memorable characters, unique storytelling and the list could go on forever.

You can either take this with a grain of salt in coordination with my review's magnitude because I am a newbie when it comes to the horror genre or take it into consideration even more - regardless of not personally being a huge fan, I totally fell in love with this game.

Resident Evil 7 is one of the very few horror games I've ever played.
